We are the textile experts. We exclusively test fabrics, PU/PVC and leather materials. We are the best at providing accurate and informative test data that is relative to your products, with capabilities spanning from flammability and durability to laundering, colorfastness and stain testing that is tailored to suit specific applications.
We don’t stop at meeting industry standard, we go beyond that. We offer consultation for field failure analysis, custom test development as well as product specification development. Our relationship with International Laboratories extends our capability with access to test to international flame standards.
Our laboratory has been A2LA accredited (certificate 3193.01) since 2011. A2LA is a nonprofit, non-governmental, public service, membership society that provides comprehensive services in laboratory accreditation and laboratory-related training. Laboratory accreditation is based on internationally accepted criteria for competence (ISO/IEC 17025:2005). Our A2LA accreditation is highly regarded globally and allows us to provide certified, third-party testing results to you for all test standards outlined in our scope.
Textile Supply Chain Management
Our proprietary enterprise system stores, processes and moves more than 10 million yards of fabric every year. Whether you’re a small distributor without the capacity or funding to support your own system, a large company that’s run out of capacity or an international company looking for distribution in the U.S., we can handle the job. Even better, you get the same unsurpassed, soup-to-nuts service whether it’s five yards, 50 yards or 500 yards.
Today, we manage supply chain for all kinds of companies. Textile distributors and brands like McDonald’s use Applied Textiles to inspect, process, store, cut and ship their products worldwide. We enable the best textile products to reach the market seamlessly with the following services:
- Inventory control and management
- Cutting exact yardage and samples
- Order fulfillment
- Packaging and labeling
- Distribution fulfillment
- Pattern cutting and precision slitting
- Inspection and dye lot management
Knowledge drives innovation and enables anyone who deals with textiles to make the smartest decisions about textile choices for their projects and programs.
To that end, we offer many ways to learn about performance technologies and how they perform in the real world. We regularly host on-site seminars and tours of our plant and textile testing lab. We also conduct a variety of “lunch and learn” presentations at your office on different topics, from fabric sustainability to cleanability.
If you are looking for something more formal, we offer a long-standing course, “History of Performance Textiles,” which is a great introduction to the history of textiles, fiber use and how technology has enabled the creation of products that are both beautiful and enduring. This course has been approved by the IDCEC and the IIDA, so you can meet your continuing education requirements and put your knowledge to work.
